# NaCl Molar Mass | Molar Mass Definition | Related Terms

Molar mass of nacl is determine by adding of sodium atom and chloride atom. Sodium chloride consist 1:1 ratio of sodium and chloride atom or ions. you can find nacl molar mass by adding (both atom).

Hello, reders today i m going to explain about nacl molar mass process in details. if you learn in details then read my complete article.

Let’s get started,

## What is NaCl (Sodium Chloride)

You know that sodium chloride (NaCl) is commonly know as a salt.

it is an ionic compound with the chemical formula NaCl.

it is represent 1:1 ratio of sodium and chloride ions.

it is Crystalline. it is soluble in water, formic acid, ammonia and formamide.

the melting point of NaCl is – 801°C

the Boiling point of nacl is – 1465°C

### Molar Mass Definition?

It is define as the mass of sample of that chemical compound divided by the amount of substance in that sample. this phenomenon is called molar mass. It is measured in moles.the molar mass of element it can represent gram atomic mass.the molar mass of compound it can represent gram molecular mass.

### How to calculate the molecular mass of NaCl?

You can get valuable information with the help of following process.

the total sum of masses of atom is = Na + Cl, you know that the sum of masses of atoms is called addition of both atoms.

for example, (Na) Sodium + (Cl) chloride

in other word,

the total sum of masses = sodium + chloride is present in the molecule. this is called molecular mass.

the molar mass of sodium (Na) = 22.989770 g/mol.

Similarly,

the molar mass of chloride (Cl) is = 35.453 g/mol

If you want to find the nacl molar mass then you required, add both atom such as, Na + Cl.

For example,

Sodium + chloride ( it is called sum of atoms)

Now,

The molar mass of nacl (sodium chloride) is,

22.989770 g/mol + 35.453 g/mol = 58.44277 g/mol.
